GROUND MEASUREMENTS

Costa Teguise station

The official network provides hourly measurements. Its automated API requires a token. Check the publication date on station pages: an old reading is not a current measurement.

Sources, refresh timing & interpretation

Concentrations: PM2.5, PM10, NO₂, O₃, SO₂, CO, formaldehyde and dust are in micrograms per cubic metre (μg/m³). Dust is a separate model variable; do not add it to particulate values. The European AQI is dimensionless.

EU AQI: Good 0–20 · Fair >20–40 · Moderate >40–60 · Poor >60–80 · Very poor >80–100 · Extremely poor >100. The overall index is the highest of the five sub-indices for PM2.5, PM10, NO₂, O₃ and SO₂. CO, formaldehyde and dust have no separate European AQI band here. The selector covers eight relevant air-pollution indicators; their risks depend on concentration and exposure.

Timing: Choose automatic checks every 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or turn them off. Checks run while the page is visible and resume with an immediate check when you return to an overdue tab. The viewing window spans 4 hours to 30 days; points remain hourly. Earlier values are archived model forecasts, not validated monitoring-station history. CAMS global has a three-hour native output interval and updates its forecasts about every 12 hours; the API supplies hourly values. The “model valid at” time is not a model run or sensor measurement timestamp. Failed checks leave the last values visible with an explicit warning. Values more than two hours old are flagged.
