Application & concurrency
Python with asynchronous and concurrent processing for data collection and application workflows.
Independent software research · Giuseppe Carilli
AlgoTrader is an independent software project exploring algorithmic trading, market-data processing and technical analysis. Discover the ideas, the operating modes and the engineering behind it.
01 / Operating modes
A technical introduction to a developing project. Select a mode to see its purpose, then explore the technologies supporting the work.
A dedicated real-time entry point runs the framework with incoming market data. The engineering focus is on asynchronous processing, ordered events and making the system’s behavior observable.
A separate test-mode entry point allows development work to be distinguished from the real-time mode. Testing a trading system also requires explicit assumptions about data quality, execution and transaction costs; this overview reports no verified investment results.
A dedicated ingestion entry point handles the market-data feed. Separating collection from analysis makes the role of each stage easier to explain and review.
02 / Technology
A concise view of the stack used in the project. Implementation, configuration and trading rules remain private.
Python with asynchronous and concurrent processing for data collection and application workflows.
WebSocket and HTTP integrations for incoming data, with Kafka tooling for event streaming.
Elasticsearch clients for stored records and querying. The project’s LinkedIn overview also describes Grafana dashboards.
03 / FAQ
It means expressing market-data processing and trading logic in software. This page explains the project at a high level; it does not disclose strategy rules, exchange credentials or operational settings.
A useful evaluation identifies the data period, missing data, fees, slippage, risk assumptions and reproducibility. These are evaluation topics, not claims that the project has passed an independent audit.
This website is an informational overview. It does not connect to an account, accept funds, execute trades or publish verified performance figures.
